No Burning School House

I can't remember the last time I bought fireworks. What I do remember is watching a burning school house go up in flames. I didn't buy one even though it was available. I stuck with the "box o fireworks" you see in the first picture. Quite reasonably priced. I only did a per bang calculation once and that was after one of the big ones only lasted 3 seconds.
The neighbours and I recently got about 9 yards of top soil so we used a wheel barrow full of dirt as our base and put it in the middle of the street to avoid any shingle damage. The whole thing lasted only 15 minutes or so but I think it was a hit as you can see by the reaction of some of the kids.

Next year Burning School House full of some sort of explosive will be on the menu!!
